SKATERS CLUB

The skaters club sessions will run throughout the season every Sunday 10:15-11:05 am at HRM 4 Pad (BMO). The costs per session is 20 dollars payable through the registration/signup portal. 

Signup availability is limited so please sign up early.

Head skating instructor - Tim Cranston

Tim is a Chebucto Minor Hockey graduate. At 14 yrs old, Tim became the youngest player ever to play in the Maritime Jr A Hockey League. At 16 yrs old, Tim played in the QMJHL where he was an All-Star center, top 10 scorer and capatin of the Hull Olympiques. As a professional, Tim played 15 years in 8 countries in Europe. During that time he played in 4 IIHF World Championships, 4 European Championships and a Spengler Cup. In 2010, Tim was elected to the British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame. In 1986, Tim was a member and leading scorer of the Corner Brook Royals, winners of the Allan Cup (Canadian Senior 'AAA' Champions). As a coach, Tim is certified by Hockey Canada and the National Coaching Associuation of Canada as a High Performance (Advanced Level 2) Coach. Tim has coached at all levels from Novice to Midget to University. Privately, he has conducted hockey clinics all over the world. Currently he is the lead instructor at the Total Hockey Academy. Tim, known as one of the fastest skaters to come out of Nova Scotia, prides himself on teaching skating fundamentals and edgework, as well modern-day techinques such as linear cross-overs, punch turns, the corkscrew, and a range of other techniques. 

Please only sign up for the sessions indicated by the players age group unless directed by Development Coordinator.

Athletic Intelligence Skills Development 

Chebucto has partnered with the group at Athletic Intelligence to provide some targetted skills sessions covering different game aspects for different age groups throughout the year. 

Head Instructor - Daryl MacPherson 

Daryl comes from a long history of atheltics and coaching at all levels and his Athletic Intelligence group recruits and retains some of the best coaching talent around to deliver quality on ice development. For more information on the AI programs see their website.
