The Society for Equity in Sport is inviting members of the hockey community to take part in their Halifax Hockey Summit later this month.
The event takes place from June 24-25 at the Prince George Hotel in Halifax and is designed for players, parents, coaches, administrators, and officials. Speakers include former Montreal Canadiens forward Georges Laraque, NHL on TNT analyst and former NHLer Anson Carter, the Buffalo Beauts’ Mikyla Grant-Mentis, and national women’s team Olympic gold medalist Jill Saulnier.
Trailblazer Bill Riley, the first African Nova Scotian to play in the NHL, will also be speaking at the event and the two Hockey Nova Scotia awards honouring his contributions to the game will be presented.
