Summer Update #1
Good afternoon Chebucto Atlantic Families!
As we approach the last couple days of school year and prepare for summer break, I wanted to provide you all with an update! We hope knowing these dates in advance will help you prepare any summer vacation plans you have.
Please mark this these dates!
Registration for 23-24 Season and Preseason Development will open on July 17th – we are moving to GrayJay Pay this coming season for registration. Many of you are probably familiar with this forum, and those of you who are new to it, I can assure you that it is very user friendly. Our registrar, Alicia Payne, is working extremely hard behind the scenes to get registration ready for families!
**Deadline to register for preseason development is August 7th – NO EXCEPTIONS
**Deadline for Competitive Registration is August 21st. Any late registrations will result in a $50 administrative fee.
Registration Fees: Please note there is an increase in registration fees for the 23-24 season. This is being done because of an increase in Hockey NS Fees, increase in ice cost, as well as building in some funds for in season coaching and player development. The increases are outlined below. These numbers do not include tryout out fees, which will again be $150 this year.
New Fees as of 23-24 Season
U7 - $600
U9 - $700
U11 – U15 (rec and comp)- $800
U18 comp - $800
U18 rec - $725
U24 - $800
Start of the 23-24 Season!
Preseason Development will start on Saturday, August 19th Schedule to be determined. We will once again be offering 1-2 blocks per division at $125/block. Each block will consist of 5-60 min ice times.
Competitive Tryouts for U13AAA and U15AA will start on Friday, September 15th All U13 and U15 skaters and goalies will start their tryouts on this date. Schedule will be provided after registration closes.
Competitive Tryouts for U11, U18, as well as sessions for U7 and U9 will start after September 22nd. We will send out those dates late August or early in September.
That’s it for now! I will send another update just prior to registration opening on July 17th!
Happy last day of school and Happy Canada Day!
Take care,
Craig Myra
