Good morning everyone,

As I am sure many of you have already heard, there was a fire at the Lion's Rink on Friday.  After getting an update from HRM, I can share with you the following infomation:

No one was injured during the fire, that is the most important thing.  Thanks to the quick acting of some of the rink staff, who were luckily in the building at the time, the fire was contained to the back kitchen located by the gym at the back end of the building.  The rink itself was not impacted by the fire.  HRM is working to assess the site to get it back up and running as quickly as possible.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to express concerns about this incident.  The greatest thing about our community is how we rally together during times of need.  That was evident Friday with the amount of people reaching out with concern.
