Goalie Development

CMHA Board recommends each team allocate $500 per goalie in their team budget, those funds can be used toward goalie specific development, such as:
  • Private goalie coaches who attend the team's regular practice time. Coaches/managers arrange to hire private goalie coaches and coordinate with them to attend the team's regular practice time to work exclusively with the goalie/goalies.
  • Reimbursement to goalie parents who provide a receipt for an attended goalie development session(s)
  • Association run/provided development session(s) (direct payment to the association, or reimbursement to parents for such sessions).

Any other form of goalie development the team wishes to use the funds toward must be approved by Paul Hunt, CMHA Technical Director.

QUALIFIED GOALIE COACHES: Empire Goaltending (Brad MacCharles and Dan McGinn) and any of their affiliate coaches are pre-qualified and do not require approval but other programs/coaches must be approved by Paul Hunt, CMHA Technical Director, prior to engagement to ensure qualification. For goalie coach contacts and approval please contact Paul Hunt directly at techncial.director@chebuctominorhockey.com.
