Please find below the upcoming events. The schedule is subject to change based on player turnout and releases.

U18 Tryout Information 

These sessions will begin Oct 6th.

Sunday October 6 - Intersquad Game 1 - 5pm - 6:30pm

Monday October 7 - Intersquad Game 2 - 8pm - 9:30pm

Wednesday October 9 - Intersquad Game 3 - 8pm - 9:30pm

Team Rosters to be Announced Prior to Games. 

Please see team roster for Saturday October 6th 5pm Intersquad Game at Lions Arena below. If your players name is missing please reach out.

Please note that tryouts will continue throughout the remaining schedule or as determined by the tryout committee. We are expecting players back from highschool tryouts who will possibly join as they are released.

Good news, Chebucto U7 Families!

We have been giving the 9am time slot at Lions Arena on Sunday October 6th, so we will NOT have the 7am session!!

Please, adhered to the following new ice times below.

Returning players 8am - 9am 

Beginner skaters 9am - 10am

These special ice times are meant to be a safe and fun environment for everyone. Especially our little U7 Champs! I'm short, so I can sort of relate to our U7's, lol. It can be intimidating being on the ice with "Big People"! 

On Sunday there may be more skaters on the ice than you'd typical find at a U7 ice time. We have some parents and siblings joining us, so it's important to keep in mind, and please mention to siblings, to refrain from taking slap shots and shooting high on the nets. Let's keep our eyes open and our speed at a safe pace so our kids feel comfortable. This is a time for them to explore hockey and show their stuff! 

Once groups are finalized (after Oct 6th) we will assign regular weekly practice times. There are 2 practices per week and these will fall on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise noted.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we move through the tryout phase for the upcoming season, I want to remind everyone of the importance of maintaining a positive and respectful environment for our players, coaches, and volunteers. To support this, Chebucto Minor Hockey Association follows the “24-Hour Rule.” We kindly ask that parents wait at least 24 hours after receiving any tryout-related news before reaching out to volunteers or staff with questions or concerns. This period allows time for reflection and ensures that all discussions are constructive and focused on the best interests of the players.

I also want to highlight that player movement between lists is a normal part of the tryout process. Just because a player may not appear on the first list does not mean they won’t have opportunities to move up. The evaluation process continues throughout tryouts, and players can be reassessed and moved as we work to place everyone in the position that best suits their skills and development.

We encourage all players to stay focused, give their best effort, and trust that the process is designed to support their growth. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us create a supportive and fair environment for all.
