Ice Time Participation Outside Team
CMHA Members and Volunteers,
It has come to our attention that there is an increasing number of players participating in practices or ice times outside of their assigned team—and in some cases, outside their division.
Please understand that this creates a very negative perception that some players are being given an advantage over others, without any legitimate basis other than possible familiarity with volunteers or on-ice staff. This perception is damaging to fairness, team cohesion, and the trust families place in our association.
To avoid this, participation in practices or ice times outside a player’s assigned team (or assigned group in the case of U7) must be strictly limited to:
-
Approved team affiliation arrangements, as registered and tracked through CMHA and HNS; or
-
Specific, prior approval of the appropriate Division VP or the Technical Director.
Any player participating outside their assigned team or group without meeting one of the above conditions will not be permitted to continue in those sessions.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain a fair, transparent, and well-structured development environment for all CMHA players.
