CMHA is pleased to announce its 2024 Summer Development Programs! 

Summer 2024 - Registration will open Tuesday July 2 and our deadlines are set in accordance with the deadlines to finalize ice contracts with the rink. It's important that you register sooner rather than later.

Costs will be 165 per program. 

Programs will run on August 17, 18, 24, 25, 27 and the times and groups will be announced August 1st.

Deadline for registration is set for July 17, 2024. Programs will be led by our Technical Director Paul Hunt (Hockey Nova Scotia Coach of the Year) along with other guest coaches.

• Summer Power Skating: (U7, U9, U11, U13, U15) 
• Summer Scoring Skills/Tactics: (U11, U13, U15) 
• Summer Defense Skills/Tactics: (U11, U13, U15)
• Summer Small Area Games: (U11, 13, 15) 
• Goalie Development: (U9, U11, 13, 15, 18)
• Foundational Skills: (U7, U9)

Power Skating with Tim Cranston - Former QMJHL & 13 year European League Pro player.

Scoring Skills with Donald Maclean - Former Professional Hockey Player, AHL Scoring Champion (2001-2002), AHL Top Goal Scorer and MVP (2005-2006), coached in KHL/OHL/International, former Head Coach of Bedford U15 Major hockey club.

Goalie Development with Brad MacCharles - Empire Goaltending

The Registration Link will be listed under the Development tab of the Main Chebucto Website on July 2nd.

**NOTE - Programs will only run if we can reach the minimum number of players. Our ice contracts must be finalized 30 days prior to the start of each program. If program registration is low, we will have to cancel.

Hi Folks,

I hope everyone is getting ready for the most exciting finish to the NHL season we have had in years! 

Just a reminder of the Spryfield Lions Rink Replacement Project Information session tomorrow 5pm - 8 pm at the Captain William Spry Community Centre - Multipurpose Community Room.

I would encourage our entire hockey community to check it out as I strongly believe our association and the community deserves a first class facility to continue a strong tradition of Chebucto Hockey. 

Even if you can't make the open house everyone in our association should fill out the survey and denote "2 ice surfaces as very important".

Hockey Nova Scotia held their annual High Performance Camp this past weekend, in an effort to determine which players would be invited to the main camp held in early July at St.FX in Antigonish. The main camp includes the top 24 forwards, 16 defence, and 6 goalies from across Nova Scotia at each age level.

Good morning,

It is with great pleasure that I announce that Paul Hunt has been named Chebucto Minor Hockey Associations first ever Technical Director.

Paul came out on top after consideration from a number of very strong candidates.  Paul's wealth of expereince, along with his passion for Chebucto Minor Hockey will serve our players, coaches, and Executive well as we move into the 24-25 season and beyond.

Paul will be formerly introduced at next week's AGM and he will start this new role in the near future!
