CMHA is seeking Board nominations for the 2022-2023 season:

All Board Positions are open for nominations, except Executive Vice President (in 2^nd term)

All Board members are re-offering except the following positions:

President (2-year term) - please note this is the opposite year to Executive VP

VP U7

VP U9

VP Recreation

VP Administration

Member at Large (U9 affiliated)

We are seeking Administration positions for the 2022-2023 Season: these are administration positions and would directly work with the VP of the divisions and with VP Development. These are not board seats and do not vote at meetings.

U7 coordinator

U9- coordinator

U11 –coordinator-2 positions- Recreation and Competitive

U13- coordinator-2 positions- Recreation and Competitive

U15-coordinator-2 positions- Recreation and Competitive

U18-coordinator- 2 positions- Recreation and Competitive

~These positions will work with the VP of the respective divisions and help coordinate Season plans, Safety Reps, manager support, equipment needs, development plans, tryouts (comp), balancing (Rec) and year end festivities.

So many of you answered the call to help this past season. Thanks for volunteering your time. We are looking to support our VPs within their divisions again for the 2022-2023 Season and hope you will consider joining the team.

All nominations will be open from April 11 - April 25. Please send your nomination to me via email at executive.vp@chebuctominorhockey.com. Please include the name, email and phone number of the nominee.

Once a nomination is received, an email goes to the nominee for approval and acceptance. The nominee needs two members in good standing to confirm and support the nomination.  (Member is good standing is an active parent/board member within the association) The nominee must provide email and phone contacts of the two members in good standing apon acceptance.

Once all nominations are in- a message will go out if Voting is required, and will be confirmed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is planned for May 17, 2022- 7pm in the Atlantic Room- more details to come as we get closer.

To All Chebucto Families,

UPDATE ON SEDMHA

Chebucto was well represented on Championship Sunday of SEDMHA this past weekend. The U11AA White, U11A, and U13AA teams all participated in the finals of the Civic Division in their respective divisions. The U11 AA White team was able to come away with the victory, beating the Riverview Blues from N.B., while both the U11A and U13 AA teams came up short against strong Sackville Flyers teams in their games.

The U13B White team had an even better day, as they were able to bring home a banner by beating Dartmouth in the Accord Division final. Great job by all of these teams to finish off the season strong and represent Chebucto well.

U18AA

Best of luck to our U18 AA players and coaches as the team heads to provincials this weekend in Cape Breton. Hopefully they are able to play well and bring home a provincial banner.

END OF YEAR MESSAGE

As we approach the end of the year, I just want to say thank you to all those involved in helping to ensure that our competitive teams were able to have a fun and successful season of hockey. From the Chebucto Board members and volunteers, to coaches and managers, and to parents and guardians, competitive hockey doesn’t happen without you. Even in the face of COVID and all of its challenges, players were given an opportunity to practice, play and enjoy the game of hockey which is what is most important.

To all players, thank you for working hard, having fun, and for representing Chebucto in a positive manner throughout the year. Hopefully you enjoy your break from minor hockey and come back next year ready to go.

  Congratulations to all Chebucto players, coaches and families on another great season!

Below you will find the teams for our end of season coach’s game. If there are any coaches who still wish to play, but do not see their name on the list, please email me:

Time : Monday April 4th from 6:00pm-8:00pm

Location : Spryfield Lions Rink

A reminder that we are collecting donations in support of families affected by the conflict in Ukraine. Another way to show support is to find your coach on the list, and wear their team's color.(BLUE or YELLOW)

There will be prizes, and every player who attends will fill out a ballot and have their name put into a draw for a $200 credit towards next season's registration. So, let's fill the stands and show our great coaches some love. 

There may even be a special guest appearance!
