U7 Ice Times & Groupings October 12-13 Weekend

Hello, Chebucto U7 Families and Fans!
 
Below you'll find our ice times and groups for this weekend! I know we've all been anxiously awaiting this information, so thank you all for your incredible patience. I really appreciate you. 
 
This year we have 4 groups! Group 1 and 2 are all first year players.
 
If you don't see you player's name in one of the groups, or if you feel your player has been placed incorrectly, please let me know and I would be happy to discuss it. Also, if there are any scheduling conflicts, don't hesitate to let me know. I'll do my best to help make it work. I'm very open to parental insights and I welcome making beneficial adjustments for families and players. 
 
We reserve the time before the U7 Draft Jersey Distribution event, which will be held on the 26th or 27th of October (TBD), to make any changes deemed best for a player's development path and make sure schedules work well for families. 
 
Final group rosters and regular season ice times will be finalized over the next few weeks and will be sent out with as much notice as possible. 
 
Please arrive 20 - 30 minutes prior to your player’s scheduled ice times. Bringing your player nearly fully dressed is also a good way to insure we all start together and on time.

U18 Tryout Intersquad Game 2 Monday Oct 7th **Cancelled**

The U18 Intersquad Game 2 scheduled for tonight Monday, October 7th, 8-930pm has been cancelled. Please refer to below and the U18 Tryout page for frequent updates and information.

These sessions will begin Oct 6th.

Sunday October 6 - Intersquad Game 1 - 5pm - 6:30pm

Monday October 7 - Intersquad Game 2 - 8pm - 9:30pm  (Cancelled)

Wednesday October 9 - Intersquad Game 2 - 8:30-10pm

The players listed below and also any players released from JL Isley tryouts will play in Wednesday, October 9th Intersquad Game 2, 8:30-10pm at the Lions Arena.

Skills/Balancing sessions for U11 & U13 Recreation "C"

Please note the following Skills/Balancing sessions for U11 Recreation & U13 Recreation.

**U15 & U18 Rec "C" sessions will begin soon please watch for updates.

  • Monday Oct 7, 5-6pm @ Lions Rink U11C: All registered recreation players noted below (no players that were recently released from tryouts)

Welcome to the CMHA U18 Tryouts.

U7 Updated Ice Times for Sunday Oct 6th -- NO 7AM!!

Good news, Chebucto U7 Families!

We have been giving the 9am time slot at Lions Arena on Sunday October 6th, so we will NOT have the 7am session!!

Please, adhered to the following new ice times below.

 

Returning players 8am - 9am 

 

Beginner skaters 9am - 10am

 

These special ice times are meant to be a safe and fun environment for everyone. Especially our little U7 Champs! I'm short, so I can sort of relate to our U7's, lol. It can be intimidating being on the ice with "Big People"! 

On Sunday there may be more skaters on the ice than you'd typical find at a U7 ice time. We have some parents and siblings joining us, so it's important to keep in mind, and please mention to siblings, to refrain from taking slap shots and shooting high on the nets. Let's keep our eyes open and our speed at a safe pace so our kids feel comfortable. This is a time for them to explore hockey and show their stuff! 

Once groups are finalized (after Oct 6th) we will assign regular weekly practice times. There are 2 practices per week and these will fall on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise noted.
