The final rosters for  the rest of U13 are being withheld until the evaluation committee determines final team configurations for U13. The following 4 options are being considered:
 
1. One team at U13A and one team at U13B
2. One team at U13A
3. One team at U13B
4. Two teams at U13B
 
The following U13B roster will play Halifax on Thursday, October 5 at 7pm at the Lion's Rink. Players are to bring their tryout jerseys and arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the game.

U18 Competitive Tryout Update - Starting Next Week!

To all U18 competitive families,

 

Apologies for the delay, but with many other programs doing evaluations, we wanted to wait until we had a more accurate picture of what our numbers were going to look like before planning the start of U18 evaluations.

 

JL Ilsley will be starting their high school tryouts this evening, so we are planning on getting the U18 evaluations underway the week of October 9th, which will allow all players who are unsuccessful in high school tryouts time to register and return to Chebucto if they choose to do so.

 

If your player has tried out elsewhere and is looking to return to Chebucto for U18, please make sure you reach out to Alicia Payne, our registrar.  

 

Once we have seen our final registration numbers, a decision will be made on what our team configuration will look like at the U18 level.

 

We will be looking at ice availability, and will send out actual times and dates later this week.

U13 AA Practice Tomorrow at 5 pm (Lions Rink)

Those players who were on the U13AA roster for Sunday's exhibition game in Sackville, there is a practice tomorrow, October 3, at 5pm at the Lion's Rink.

 
This ice just became available, so due to the late notice, it is optional.

U15 Tryout Schedule for this Week

To all U15 competitive families,

 
Here is an update on the remainder of the evaluation process. The second U15A/B intersquad game will be played on Wednesday, October 4 at 6pm at the Lion's Rink. This will be a 90 minute game. Please ensure that players bring their tryout jerseys and arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the game.
 
The players on the U15AA list, as well as those players who are parked, will participate in a practice on Wednesday, October 4 at 9pm at the Lion's Rink. This practice will be one hour, run by the coaching staff and players will be evaluated. Players are to wear their tryout jerseys and arrive 30 minutes early.
 
On Thursday, October 5 at 8pm at the Lion's Rink, the U15B team will participate in an intersquad game to determine the roster for exhibition games. This session will be one hour. The list for this session will be sent out after the U15A/B game on Wednesday.
 
Finally, on Saturday, October 7, those players named to the U15A exhibition game roster will play Chester in an exhibition game at 4:30pm in Chester. This game will be 90 minutes, it will be evaluated, and scores will be used to help in final player placement.

Parent Emails Pertaining to Tryouts

To all competitive families,

 
Just a friendly reminder that all questions and concerns regarding the evaluation process are to be sent to our ombudsperson at:
 
 
This includes issues around player placement, evaluation schedules, players missing sessions, and anything else related to evaluations.
 
Our ombudsperson is anonymous, and completely independent from the evaluation committee and process. Their sole purpose is to act as a liaison between membership and the evaluation committee.
 
Due to the nature of evaluations, the VP Competitive, President, VP Administration, and evaluation committee members are very busy with all of the different aspects of evaluations. As a result, emails are not checked regularly and things can be missed.
 
The ombudsperson regularly checks this email, and responds to all emails as promptly as possible. Please allow at least 24 hours for a response to be sent. If the matter is urgent, the ombudsperson will respond as quickly as possible.
