UPDATE: Due to the forecasted rainfall amounts, the gear giveaway will now be held on the rain date - SUNDAY SEPTEMBER from 10am-12pm.  Outside the side door of Lion's Arena. 

CMHA has some used gear, jerseys and other equipmentt that we would like to make available to our players and families.

We will be doing a gear give away this Saturday Sept 7 ( rain date Sept 8th) from 10 am to 12 pm outside the side door of Lion's Arena.

We will have both player and goalie gear available. Grab a set of pads for floor/road hockey!!

U13 AAA Tryout Schedule Announced!

Please be advised that all programs for U11, U13, U15 and U18 are now closed for registration. This includes Competitive and Recreation programs.

If you have not already been in contact about your players registration and still desire to register please contact the following email to be placed on the waitlist:

Again, U7 and U9 programs remain open to registration.

Groups and Schedule Announced!

Dear Chebucto Membership,

Here we are, nearing the end of August.  The Chebucto Board and association volunteers are busy getting ready for summer and pre-season development sessions, and quickly on the heels of that...competitive tryouts and U9 Evaluations

All tryouts can begin as early as September 28 (with the exception of U13 AAA on September 15). As you all know, it takes a village to run a hockey association's tryout processes, a VERY large village, and in recent years the volunteer engagement at Chebucto has been very low with the bulk of volunteer support falling to a very small group of individuals. 

We must conduct tryouts and all other player activities according to Hockey Canada policy and regulations.  As such, we need a minimum of 8 and up to 15-17 volunteers dedicated for EVERY tryout session. 

If the volunteer level remains low, we will be forced to have closed tryouts for Chebucto Minor Hockey (no spectators allowed), and only volunteers will be permitted in the rink.

Please review the roles available, and submit the volunteer sign up form to indicate where you can help out.  If every player had one parent/guardian volunteer just a couple of 1-2 hour shifts, we'd have every ice time more than covered. 

 We can't do this without you - the parents and guardians of the Chebucto player membership.  Please help us deliver another successful tryout period for our players, and keep the rinks open so everyone can enjoy watching their player(s) give their best.

I'd like to thank Morgan Burke for stepping forward as our new VP of Competitve moving into the 2024-25 Season.

Morgan been a very active volunteer with Chebucto over the years and I'm very excited and thankful to him for stepping forward into a key vacancy within our executive.
