I hope everyone is ready to get back on the ice and start the 2024-2025 hockey season!
Please note: The ice at the Chebucto home rink, the Lions Rink, will not be installed until October, so
these sessions will be at the Halifax civic centre at 2901 Windsor St, Halifax, NS B3K 5E5. (It's the back side of the Halifax Forum)
Below are the groupings, dates and times for the 1st U9 practice sessions next week!
For these practice sessions we decided it would be best to get the players on the ice with familiar faces, similar skilled players to get them comfortable heading into evaluations the following weekend - groups are based on last year's placement/group to facilitate this. One exception are goalies, who are all assigned to the smallest group to make the numbers work.
Groupings will not be the same for evaluations (Sept 28 & 29), those groups will be announced separately, as will goalie evaluation information.
All U9 players are included on the lists below - if you don't see your players name, please reach out.
NOTE: These sessions will be practice for the evaluations. but are not evaluated, all players are welcome and encouraged to attend, even if opting out of evaluations.
Our Technical Director, Paul Hunt, will be running all sessions but will need on ice helpers/coaches to help out, I will reach out to those who expressed interest to confirm availability.
