***SAVE THE DATE*** CMHA Coaches Game April 4th, 2022

Chebucto Minor Hockey Coaches Game

Save the date!

Monday: April 4th from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Spryfield Lions Rink

I’m sure we can all agree that the past couple of years have been a challenge, but the past few days have felt somewhat normal.  It has been great to see fans being able to return to the rink to full capacity. On Monday I saw one of our teams get their first win of the season in front of a large crowd and with lots of support from our U15 AA team as they awaited their game to start. It reminded me of the excitement that our rink can provide. We want to create one last opportunity this season to demonstrate our Chebucto pride and come together as we have in the past for a good cause. Kimmie’s Kanteen will be open too!

Chebucto Minor Hockey is pleased to announce the return of our Coaches game. This will be a great way to finish our season and allow players and parents to come show their support and appreciation our great volunteer coaches, who have worked extremely hard to provide a great experience for our players this year. I’m sure the players would enjoy the opportunity to offer some of their own tips and suggestions to their coaches as well.

Please join us on Monday April 4th from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Spryfield Lions Rink. We will be collecting donations to support families who have been impacted by the tragedy in Ukraine. We will provide further details about this and other news in the coming days.

Coaches who are interested in participating in the game are asked to complete the form below by

Friday April 1st :

HOCKEY NOVA SCOTIA COVID-19 PHASE 3 UPDATE

Good evening everyone,

As you all know, most Public Health restrictions have been lifted across the province today as we move to Phase 3 of the provincial reopening plan. You can learn more about Phase 3 by clicking here.

Effective today, the following are in effect in Nova Scotia:

  • there will be no gathering limits or capacity limits, but people should still keep their social groups small and consistent and make careful choices about the gatherings they attend
  • physical distance will no longer be required between individuals and groups, although distancing is still recommended
  • masks will no longer be required, but wearing one in indoor public places or crowded outdoor places is strongly recommended
  • businesses and organizations across all sectors can resume full operations with no mandatory Public Health restrictions
  • special events including festivals, sports, performances, meetings, training and faith ceremonies can resume in full.

While masks are no longer mandated, we strongly encourage our members to continue to wear them.

As well, anyone who feels sick should say home and get tested.

People who test positive for COVID-19 are still required to self-isolate for seven days from the date symptoms started, or from the date of a positive test if there are no symptoms. There is no requirement to notify contacts outside a person’s household but people are encouraged to do so, especially for those who are at increased risk. Contacts are not required to isolate as long as they are symptom-free and test negative, whether they live with the person who tested positive or not.

We know the pandemic isn’t over but this is another encouraging step for our province. Let’s continue to work together to have a successful conclusion to our hockey season.

Yours in Hockey,

Amy Walsh
