Hello Chebucto!
Firstly - A huge thank you to all our executive members who have selflessly given their time and efforts and energy this past season. You've all set a high bar and expectation. I am sure the CMHA community is up to the challenge and will grab the torch.
And so...
CMHA is seeking nominations and new members for the 2025-26 Season. The functioning and increasing quality of your hockey association is directly related to the people and efforts put forward by these individuals. Even if you have no idea how you could help, if you have enough experience, are a "hockey person" or anything else, I assure you there is a place for anyone who is interested building and improving the hockey experience for all.
This is especially true if you have a child in U7 or U9 as you definately have the most to gain by getting involved now. Again, even if you don't know where to start or do not want an executive role I highly encourage all parents, but especially our U7 and U9 parents to get involved and see and participate in ( instead of assume...lol...) what happens behind the scenes of a functioning hockey organization.
Seeking nominations for CMHA 2025 - 2026 season:
All Positions are open for nominations, except President (in 2nd term)
All Board members are re-offering except the following positions:
- VP Fundraising
- VP Administration
- Member at Large
- Member at Large (U7 or U9 affiliated)
Elections are exciting so lets get some nominations going!! Again, jump in!
We are in need of an Equipment Manager for the upcoming season. Please contact the Executive VP if you are interested in this position.
We are also seeking a few Administration positions for the 2025 - 2026 Season: these are administration positions and would directly work with the VP of the divisions and with VP Development.
U7 - coordinator
U9 - coordinator
U11 - coordinator-2 positions- Recreation and Competitive
U13 - coordinator-2 positions- Recreation and Competitive
U15 - coordinator-2 positions- Recreation and Competitive
U18 - Recreation Coordinator
These positions will work with the VP of the respective division and help coordinate Season plans, Safety Reps, manager support, equipment needs, development plans, tryouts (comp), balancing (Rec) and year end festivities. This past season only a few of these positions were filled. If you are interested in any of these positions please reach out to the Executive VP.
All nominations will be open from April 21 - May 6. Please send your nomination to me via email at executive.vp@chebuctominorhockey.com.
Once a nomination is received, an email goes to the nominee for approval and acceptance. The nominee needs two members in good standing to confirm and support the nomination. Please see Nomination Form under our Policy section on the CMHA website.
Once all nominations are in- a message will go out if Voting is required, and will be confirmed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is planned for May 22, 2025 or May 29th- details to come.
