Narrow 3-2 Loss To Sackville Leaves the Machine Hungry

The visiting U11AA Green Atlantics came out hard against the Sackville U11AA Flyers home squad to jump out to a 1-0 lead with a roof daddy goal by Bowen Cranston. In a tightly contested game the momentum shifted back and forth with Sackville evening the score late in the first period. Battling to a deadlocked second period, Lokua Calvert scored early in the third to keep his 2 game scoring streak alive with a close in backhand. Sackville responded shortly afterwards to knot the game and the teams continued to battle to a dead heat with Wyatt Esbaugh making several close in saves. The Machine looked to be going home from scenenic Sackville with a tie until some questionable clock management added 5 extra minutes to the official time ruining the coaching staffs meticulously thought out game plan. The strong Sackville squad scored late with a desperate push to please the home town crowd sending the Machine away hungry and looking foward to the Oct 28th rematch back home at the Lions. Jaxson Farmer took home the "Club of Awesomeness" as player of the game in a gritty effort playing both forward and defense.

The Green Machine now heads into a busy practice schedule and then is on the road again all the way to Exit 5 off the 103 for another stiff test against TASA U11AA Black Oct 27th 7:15pm. Mark it on your calendars folks as this game will no doubt be another spectacle as we tune up for the regular season.
