Risk Management
Risk Management Procedures 2010-2011.
· All Coaches, including assistants, at the competitive level ‘AAA’, ‘AA’, ‘A’ ,‘B’, and ‘C’, must be certified at the N.C.C.P. Development Level I Clinic;
· All instructors at Initiation and Novice division levels must be certified in the Initiation Program;
· It is recommended that coaches at the House/Recreational level from Atom and up, be certified at the N.C.C.P. Development Level 1 Clinic;
· All bench staff at the AAA, AA and A levels must have the Hockey Canada Safety Course. This must be renewed every 3 years.
· Teams at the B and C and recreational levels and IP and Novice levels must have at least one member of the bench staff certified in the Hockey
Canada Safety Program.
· All bench staff including managers and all volunteers within the association, including members of the executive, must complete Speakout.
· All bench staff including managers and all volunteers within the association, including members of the executive, must complete the Child Abuse Registry (CAR) and the Criminal Records Check (CRC), every 3 years.
Note: Coaches are only required to take one course per year (in addition to Speakout, if required) and all courses and checks must be completed by December 31, 2010. If not completed the coach will be removed from the bench.

Once completed Halifax Regional Police will return the response to you. It MUST be forwarded to HNS at 7 Mellor Ave., Unit 17, Burnside Industrial Park, Dartmouth, NS B3B 0E8 to be added to your profile.
